plinth advisors
The base that elevates everything.

Your people look good on paper.
Your culture feels broken in practice.
That gap has a name. Plinth Advisors calls it a professional character deficit. And it is costing your organization in turnover, stalled managers, and a leadership pipeline that looks thinner every year.
The gap between what your organization looks like on paper and how it functions in practice is not a systems problem.
It is a professional character problem.
"As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart." Proverbs 27:19
Professional character is not a soft skill. It is an economic asset. And when it is built as infrastructure, it changes everything.
WHAT WE DO
Plinth Advisors is a workforce character and
leadership readiness firm.
We name the problem in the room. Keynotes and sessions built on the economic case for professional character, for the audiences where the gap costs the most.
We build the infrastructure to close it. The Character Capital Framework™ as the diagnostic and design lens for culture assessment, manager enablement, and leadership development.
We stay until the work is done. Structured cohort experiences that produce measurable behavioral shifts in professionals and managers at every career stage.
WHO WE SERVE
The professional character gap shows up everywhere people lead people.

THE FOUNDER
Angelia Williams Graves has spent more than 25 years in public service, from the front lines of city government to the floor of the Virginia State Senate. That history is the foundation of Plinth Advisors, the workforce character and leadership readiness practice she founded to solve a problem she has watched grow quietly in every professional room she has ever entered. She knows what it costs an organization when professional character development is nobody's job. She built a practice to change that.

THE RESEARCH BEHIND THE FRAMEWORK
Eight decades of human motivation research says the same thing we do.
42%
of voluntary departures are preventable
200%
of base salary lost per leadership exit
#1
HR priority for three consecutive years: leader development
Abraham Maslow spent his career proving that human capacity expands in sequence. You cannot ask a person to perform at the next level until the level beneath it is stable. That principle has been validated across eight decades
of organizational research. It is also the structural logic behind the Character Capital Framework™.
Gallup confirms what the research predicted. Organizations are not losing people because of technical skill gaps. They are losing them because of professional character gaps no one has been measuring.
The Character Capital Framework™ did not emerge from a consulting trend. It emerged from more than 25 years of watching what happens when professional character development is nobody's job, and from the research that explains exactly why it costs so much when it is not.

Your people are capable. The professional character infrastructure to sustain that capability is what's missing. Let us build it.
Every conversation starts with a 30-minute call. Not a pitch. A real conversation about what is happening in your organization, your agency, or on your campus, and whether this is the right fit.
